BLIND GUARDIAN is an absolutely special ensemble
on the present metal scene. Not only did they manage to alter
speed and power metal from the opening acts into the colourful
narrative music full of intros, choirs, magic recitatives and
dramatic actions, but also have not changed band line-up and they
have conquered almost all the world. There are numerous proofs:
large fan crowds, growing regularly album by album, active fanclubs
of Blind Guardian and few exceptional projects, such as this tribute
one called "Tales From The Underworld".
An interest to participate on tribute project to
BLIND GUARDIAN showed about 50 bands from Europe, Brazil
and North America. Their records finally delivered more than half
of them. Their list, including short samples and detail
information about some bands you can find on "bands & samples"
section.
This project is not purpose-made, it didnīt arise
because of money, it is not work of any music label or any metal
medium. This is the question of spontaneous idea of few fans,
who together with bands didn't hesitate (just for the joy of themselves
and the others as well) to sacriface their time, effort and money,
to do homage to their most favourite band. So from this point
of view itis neccessary to take this project as a unique affair.
This is shortly our way how to say: "Thank you Hansi,
Andre, Marcus and Thomen! Thank you for your work throughout all
years, for your fine attitude to us, your fans. We like you!"

23/07/03 - We are glad to announce the final date of issuing the tribute CD, what is July, 28! Publisher and main distributor is Swedish label TPL Records...
23/07/03 - As we agreed with Blind Guardian band and their tour manager Henry Klaer, two from tribute bands were performed at June at Blind Guardian Open Air festival in Coburg (13-14.06.2003). That were german band BLACKENED and slovak band GALADRIEL.
