Inspirací skladby je kniha Stevena Kinga a Peter Strauba "The Talisman" (vydán 1984). Aby zachránil svou umírající matku (a docela možná i celý svět) musí dvanáctiletý Jack Sawyer nalézt Talisman - křišťálovou kouli, která je osou všech možných světů.
